Micovalosin

Micovalosin

It’s Granules for preparation of oral Solution, Cream Colored granules dissolved in water.

Composition:

1gm of preparation contains the active ingredient, Tylvalosin Tartrate-625mg

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:

This is an antibiotic of the new generation macrolide group, highly active in relation to gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Enterococcus spp, Brachyspira hyodysenteriae.) and gram-negative microorganisms (Lawsonia intracellularis, Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, Brachyspira pilosicoli, Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale).
The following mycoplasmas are particularly sensitive to Micovalosin: (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma synoviae, Mycoplasma meleagridis, Mycoplasma agalactiae, Mycoplasma bovigenitalium).

Micovalosin is quickly absorbed after oral use. 2 and 12 hours after use of the recommended dose, a concentration of 0.060-0.066 mg/ml can be observed. It’s quickly distributed in tissues with the highest concentrations in the lungs, bile, intestinal mucosa, spleen, kidneys and liver.
There is confirmation that the concentration of macrolides is higher in the place of infection than in the plasma, especially in neutrophils, alveolar macrophages and alveolar epithelial cells. Study of the metabolism in vitro confirmed that Tylvalosin metabolites to 3-O acetylation. It is removed from the body via urine and bile.

APPLICATION:

Treatment of pigs suffering from enzootic pneumonia, proliferative enteropathy (ileitis) and dysentery, caused by the microorganisms (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, Lawsonia intracellularis), sensitive to this medicine.
Treatment of poultry (chickens, turkeys) and pheasants, suffering from mycoplasmosis, ornithobacteriosis, clostriosis and other bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to Tylvalosin.
